Bog standard buffers – dowel pitch on the old seat varied between 38 and 43mm. New buffers 30mm. Makes a 5 minute job into an all morning’s work when the workshop is only about plus 2 degrees.

Perhaps this is because not all bums are the same size ?

Just like bums, there are probably no standard sizes for buffers.

Smaller buffers use less material so as well as increasing their profit you are saving the world, one sh** at a time. 🙂
