      ME4415 part 20 oiler

The oiler is made up of three components. The cap, reservoir and what is the third and what’s it’s purpose.

I’m sure Stew will confirm but I think its just a spacer.

When Stew originally made the engine it was as a vertical wall engine (my prefered configuration) and it had oilers to suit being rotated 90degrees, I guess the oilers for the horz setup are a compromise and the spacers keep the oilcup away from the moving parts.

PS Stew, any chance of posting a pic of the wall version for people that have not seen it.

            Hi Eric

Jason is correct what he says the other bit is just a spacer to lift it away from the moving parts.

I did make it so it could be displayed vertically all that required is 90 deg oilers as Jason said and I did actually make the oilers. the only problem with displaying it vertical is the stability of the display, I’ve a couple of young grand kids and I didn’t wan’t to risk them pulling it over on themselfes.

I’ve posted photobucket image codes, I don’t have a complete picture of it as a vertical.

If any body wants a copy of the 90 deg oiler just send me a PM.

            Thanks for your interest
