Hi to everyone on this fascinating and most helpful forum.

My name is Tommy and I am a clockmaker in Cheshire.

I scratch build clocks both as bespoke new builds and as replicas.

I also carry out restoration on some fascinating clocks and chronometers.

My workshop is something of a geek fest of Swiss and English machines.

I am not into clocks, machine tools and tool making are my main interests. You will though find many kindred spirits here

Welcome Tommy, I wouldn't dare to describe myself as a clockmaker, although I have built an English Regulator and repaired several other clocks.

Welcome to the forum Tommy, from another Cheshire bloke. I too have built a clock, but just the one and I doubt I will ever build another. The build thread for mine is in the clock section, and you will see why I doubt I will ever do it again.
