I was contacted by an MEW reader who had trouble locating the printed indexes for the last few years.

Barry Chamberlain (who prepares the index) has kindly supplied me with a list of correct issues in which all of the printed indexes have appeared. Note that the last one hasn't been prepared yea as issue 260 has not yet been published:

As I know to my cost pedantry is high risk!

Some think 'indexes' is an Americanism, others that the Latin root makes 'indices' the correct form of the plural. Actually, either spelling is acceptable in British English.

I hope that's right, or have I stepped in the poo again?embarrassed

Not knowing where the chap who was asking Neil came from he may well have asked for indexes and that is what Neil has given himsmiley

I wanted to write indices, but I think it looks pretentious. Indices are what you have in maths and science, indexes are in magazines and books :@)

Same with nebula – nebulas in English, nebulae is Latin.

Recognising it as a Cumulative Index should keep everyone happy

… although that does seem rather unlikely on this forum angel

Useful I suppose provided you have the requisite issue. But if anyone is looking at this website anyway, they have a computer. So why isn't there a complete searchable index on this site?

That's nice of you to offer to compile it Johnwink

With other searchable ones on the net that can easily be found by putting "model engineer/s workshop index" into a search engine it seems a lot of effort to simply duplicate the other indexes.
