      Hi
I found Martin Gearings article on thread comparisons very useful and would like to keep a copy on my PC and possily laminate one for use in the workshop.

Has Martin made the table available in spreadsheet form or has anyone scanned them with OCR?

You can find something similar at the end of Spaenaur’s (a Canadian fastener supplier) catalog.

There is a quite a bit of other useful information in section R of their catalog as well.

            Hi Robert,

a very useful utility which gives all the data needed for screw threads including imperial and metric coarse and fine as well as many other very useful utilities is available as a free download from Colin Usher’s site here.  You can download it and install it on any Windows computer.

I keep a small, loose-leaf ring-binder containing design information that I’ve collected over many years as a design engineer. The first page in that is a chart that I wouldn’t be without and can be found at:

Covers British (BA, BSW, BSF) Metric and North American Threads and includes tapping information.
