Hello, I have a pre MK3 BCA Jig Borer. It has a silver locking knob on the vertical slide, however unlike the Mk3 it does not have similar knobs below the longitudinal and transvers slides. This may be a silly question, but how do you lock the slides on this early BCA. Any help would be appreciated.

Menber The Knackler's Workshop has a Mk2 BCA jig borer. If he sees this post he may be able to help.

          regards

            1) Adjust the handle nuts so there is some drag on the screws and the feed screw nuts so the backlash is minimal. This reduces any tendancy for the slide to move under vibration.

            2) If 1 isn't sufficient, then nip up one of the gib screws when you need to lock the slide, you shouldn't need this though.
