I want to get a replacement white wheel for an off hand grinder for sharpening HSS lathe tools. I seem to remember a discussion not so long ago, but can't find it after looking through several of the forums here and a search reveals nothing.
I've looked through 'Grinding, Honing and Polishing' and 'Tool and Cutter Sharpening' books. Although they describe the various grits and bonds, etc., there is no recommendation for a particular grade.
I'm looking at a Norton WA 36 IB from Abtec, but I seem to recollect grit size 46 was recommended for general purpose use. What is the general consensus among the experts, please?
