I have just bought this FP1, had the table running in auto feed x axis over to the left, the gear lever knocked out of mesh as it should, but when I tried to revers the table back it was Jammed? I have taken the table off and now looking into the back, but can't see anything wrong? The lead screw will not move? Only back & forth half a turn but its hard going. Help, the shear pin worked and sheared off
, it did not bind or seem to stress, at the time.

Got it moving, full of rust, 3hour job, must have siezed when it powered into the rust area. What should I lube it with on the rebuild! Ep90' or grease?

If you look along the lead screw, you will see the end of a castellated nut, this tightens up the main nut. The centre of the lead screw wears, so to remove the backleash, the nut is over tightened so the lead screw then binds at either end.

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgFound a problem, can you infom me what material this half nut is made from? Also how many TPI the lead screw is? & what size tool I need to make one as the internal threads are shot.

Didn't we have some blow hard on here a while ago offering to make these out of unobtainium ?

Screws to the same spec as Haas who don't even use them and nuts out of hardened and ground phossie bronze ?
