Hello all,

I am looking for drawings of the underframe for Midland railway clerestory coaches. I have bought the books Midland carriages, Midland railway carriages and historic carriage drawings. But there are no underframe drawn for the 48ft.

For anybody has an idea where to get some drawings or pictures if the underframe?

There are plenty of online indexes for model railway magazines.

I would think ModelRailway Constructor or Railway Modeller would be your best bet.

Hello David,

I also bought Ratio kits but the detail of the underframe doesn't show the design good enough.

Forgot to say I want to build the coaches in 5 inch gauge.

Yes, there appeared to be information available but I struggle to copy links on an IPad. Try searching as suggested above. Seem to be quite a few links including color photos and I think drawings at NRM.

Have you tried The Midland Railway Study Centre.
