Is there anyone out there making or stocking spares for Tom Senior milling machines ? The bronze nut on the Z-axis on my Universal isn't the best and i'd rather buy one than make one as i have enough projects on the go.

Hello Ronan,

Have you tried http://www.lathes.co.uk? they offer spares on a number of machines and I would think that might include the Senior milling machines.

Failing that, replace the nut and screw with new. Halifax Rack and Screw are worth checking out.
