Alright folks, I have *nearly* completed another one of LBSC's designs, Myrtle, an 0 gauge LC&DR F class.

I need your opinions though on something if you would please.

      Natural metal:

      Or "painted"

Oh and Neil, if you are out there, you win, I'll end up drawing the Caterpillar. One of my biggest backers (literally I haven't even gone through everything yet he's sent me) has requested the Caterpillar as well.

Games over, I am drawing the Caterpillar, you win, I surrender.

Oh, and on a totally different side note of sorts- how well do you more masterful model engineers think that say the Ayesha or Green Arrow of Curly's design would scale to 7.5" gauge? It's a direct 3x scale up, but I have no clue how well this would work out.

They both look good to me, each has their merits

Do both IMO, it's only a computer file

To go to 7+ gauge will only show up how awful the detail really is.

Caterpillar just means a lot of cloning…

Painted, but I would reduce the glossiness.

I think the bare metal shows more of the detail as edges are easier to see, the black also gets lost in the shadows.

So many small parts on it though! Plus that multi-cylinder set up might very well cost my sanity.
                    But I'll do it!

I think for the sake of simplicity that I will go with natural metal. All of the others are in that already. Maybe when I get more of these done perhaps I'll go back in and colourise them all.

I was tired in all fairness.

                      Very tired.

So I did have to work with the settings a little bit to get the details to come out more.

Are the buffers really that small?

Do you have a website where you are putting all these? They seem a little 'lost' in whole range of different posts on here.

I have a really insane idea:

If someone finds me a design that I am missing and am having trouble finding I WILL dedicate it to you, let you pick the colours when it comes time to make everything colourful- by that I mean the railway, there will be no puce and purple polka dotted locomotives out of me!

Also, who ever sends me multiple designs (like Simple Sally, Economary/Miss Economy/Economette) or can produce some of the really obscure stuff from the 20s and 30s (Minnehaha, Miss Therm) I will draft which ever LBSC locomotive you would like in addition to letting you pick out road names and what not for the ones you donated.
                            Yes, even the Caterpillar.

I'll post the list a little bit later on of the designs which I still need, there are some I am confident that will come from other sources, but some that are going to be hell to source.

So on a side note, I am serious about what I said before, however, I am going to handle all of that when I get a website up- shortly here.

Since I have basically completed five locomotives in this series of mine (so to speak) its high time that I go back and do some QA work of sorts.

One neat thing that i have learned about is sheet metal, which would allow for parts such as this cab and tank to be folded up from one piece- after it has been laser cut. It's pretty awesome I wont lie.

This makes me a little irate, but I have to add the gauge 1 Juliet and Hielan Lassie to the list.
The good news is though I have ALL of LBSC's Christmas toys now.

Keep up the good work Dean!

                                        Thank you!
I took a break from CAD to go through all of this material that I just got my hands on.
The good news about it all is that while its just plain awful going through hundreds of old magazines that were scanned and compiling the build series into documents (by locomotive none the less) I have found some interesting stuff in there.

Such as (cue the dramatic music) plans for a riding car by Curly AND plans for a wagon! ONE WAGON!
Of course finding Myrtle and the non-rail toys was nice, some of these variants (albeit I cant stand having so many fall out of the woodwork) need to be read into further. If he gives enough instruction to build it, I'll draw it.

I also would be highly interested in finding plans if they were ever made for Duchess of Swindon.
