          Hi John,

I hope someone has helped you by now. If not, I fitted one of those to my drill a few years ago and would be happy to have a go at assisting you – but I would very much prefer to do so in public, here, so that others can chip in too and so that other readers can possibly benefit from reading about the problem and solution. If you could post a description of the problem then I'm sure I or someone else will be able to assist.

You probably already have it but the user manual is available here on the Yaskawa website.

If there is some reason it absolutely must be done by private correspondence then please feel free to message me.

          Cheers

          Pete

I have a few of these fitted to various machines

so if you want to post what you are having trouble with or you can pm me for my phone number

I find them one of the more problematical inverters to program however

I have a Yaskawa V1000 which I bought of ebay and which is sitting in a cupboard waiting for me to install on lathe or shaper – cannot make my mind up at mo. for various reasons – apart from which I am windy about *sparks* work. So I'll be watching this thread with interest..

To all readers, my inverter is up and running as has been for several years. At the moment I have variable speed from around 950 rpm to about 2500. I would like to have around zero rpm upwards. Reader Quill ,has already come to my rescue and suggested looking at setting 42 which I have done and no change. I have been through the setting and written them up but cannot publish them here. If any one would like to check them out for me, please send me your details via a PM with your email address and then I'll forward you a copy.John

                  Check parameter N14

                    Agreed N14

Used to fit loads of these before we moved on the IMO's

Never had a problem with them and they programmed up fine.

After seeing johns list of settings it's iikely to be N31 which over rides N14

Could be but only if it's set higher that N14.

Most people only change to first few parameters and ignore the later ones but still a good point to check.

I was going to post a table of parameters we used to set to but unfortunately they are saved in an early version of page plus and none of my current versions will open it. surprise

John it's set to 50% according to johns list defaults zero so a previous owner has set it high

Many thanks to Ken, Ian, Andy and any others who may have contacted me. It was item 31, once adjusted it works like a dream. I was given the inverter 10/15 years ago, its was part of a printing machine being scrapped and at the time I was very happy to be able to run a 3 phase motor with some speed control. I didn't dare to fiddle with the program, obviously not much better now. Great to know that helpful people are still around.John
