        I just bought a new electric motor on which the wiring terminals are rather confusing to me. Clould someone point out to what are the A, AZ, Z and T terminals are? AZ and Z are rather obvious, I assume No. 4 is the T and 1 the A but I'd love to be shure before hooking it up.wiring.jpg

            If it is a capacitor start motor (that bulge at 2 o'clock suggests it is) then the run winding will have very high impedance measured with a normal meter, just the leakage across the capacitor

              Hi a little more information would be helpful what make and model would make it easier to advise, perhaps a picture of the information plate on the motor. Sometimes there is information on the inside of the terminal cover plate.

                    Well done, the terminal labels on that motor are unusually confusing. If you don't mind saying, who made it?
