As title says, we've just fitted a DRO supplied by M-DRO to my Axminster (Seig) SC4 lathe. The DRO kit that M-DRO supplied was the one that they supply for the Chester DB8VS and the instructions supplied were fine except for a few minor adjustments. No additional cutting was required, although after having cut the Magnetic Support Profile that was to be fitted to the saddle, we realised that we didn't need to.

Other than checking that it works okay, I haven't had a chance to use it properly, but all in all am happy with the installation.

Thanks to my mate Steve that helped me with the installation.

I fitted one to my SC4 but went my own way with a DRO bought direct from China. Mine has the mill fitted as well so it has a z axis as well. It has made so much difference to the machine and my capabilities as learner.
