I was given a Vertex facing & boring head. Its need some TLC and needs to be stripped to be cleaned and find why it does not move. Has anybody stripped one before who could give some advice before I start.

Kenneth, i have no experience of the Vertex heads but feel they may well be based on the Wohlhaupter heads or the closely related Narex brand so have a look these links to see if there is anything of use or interest
