img_0365.jpegHi, I am trying to identify a small steam engine and steam boiler that I bought from a well know auction site.. I can't find any identifying makers names on either item and the previous owner was unable to give me any information At the moment I have not tested the boiler but have tried the engine on compressed air – and it does run reasonably smoothly.

Being all gunmetal I would say it's E T Westbury's Trojan, Reeves do the castings. Very similar layout to the Stuart Simplex but don't think it is that. You should be able to compare sizes to decide which it is

Definitely a Trojan – it's identical to the one I have on my desk, which I built 25 years ago.

eta: Trojan drawings are still available from Reeves if you need them.
