I am trying to identify a gear for a Halls lathe, its the one on the rear end of the spindle that drives the tumble reverse, going by info on Tony`s lathes.co.uk pages it appears the machine was made in Yarmouth c.1870 to 1890, although close to 12DP it is not seem to be. Were there gear standards back then ? or will this be an odd ball spec unique to this machine ?
Its got 16 teeth with an O.D. of 1.470"
PCD of about 1.297"
Root diameter of about 1.122
Any help or advise with gears of this era would be greatly appreciated
