      Gentlemen,

Does anybody know if the ME and MEW sign up boxes on the home page are genuine as there is a spelling mistake in one.

I have already been onto Neil about the various spelling mistakes, one has been altered the other needs a 3rd party to do it. Yes they are genuine unfortunately .

Why unfortunately, does that mean more work from the moderators laugh

No it means we all have to scroll down further to get to "latest Forum Posts"

It would also be nice if once someone had clicked to sign up that the box would go away.

These things can take time. I once worked for a firm that makes toothpaste. Spotted that the web site said in huge letters 'Fights plague". That web page was so far outsourced, sub-contracted and generally distant that it took over a month to fix. Fortunately, most people see what they expect to see.

I think it's one of the consequences of the GDPR, and the need to easy ways for people to opt in to targeted mailings.

I was concerned because it suddenly appeared on my screen with mistakes and my first thought was that the sight had been hacked.

I have a good excuse, just before I wrote the above I had just spoken to my 94 year old mother, she has Vascular Dementia and Macular degeneration, and I was trying to explain to her that the fact she thinks its dark is because she is going blind which doesnt sink in because of the Dementia.
