My son wants to buy one of the self-centring 4-jaw 125mm chucks from Arc and as his new Chester uses the same mounting system (A rotating collar and 3 plug bolts) he wondered if he could use (or adapt) the Arc Backplate?

The Chester has a 50mm spindle nose and three 20mm holes on a 75mm P.C.D. Does anybody know if the C6/SC6 dimensions are the same?

      Thanks

      Brian

Will they fit Chester DB10 Super?

          Hi Brian

I suggest you contact Arc direct, I'm sure Ketan or ian will be able to check for you.

            Thanks Neil

I asked this morning but they don't have the information. Unless anybody with a C6 reads this he will have to make his own backplate.

EDIT:  Even without a positive result, getting a same-day reply from a supplier has to count as good service.

Just in case anybody finds this in a search sometime, the two are not the same as the Sieg has a larger spindle nose, but I was able to fit a Sieg SC6 backplate to a Chester DB10 Super by making a cast iron sleeve to fit inside the backplate.

              Lathe Sieg SC6 Chester DB10 Super (2019)

              Spindle nose 52mm 50mm

              Plug bolt PCD 75mm 75mm

Plug bolt hole dia. 20mm 20mm
