Not sure what size you want/need, but the crafting/quilting community has lots of 24″ acrylic rulers that you might be able to adapt to fit.

I’m guessing that you don’t have any so don’t know what the fitting looks like. I have several drafting heads but I don’t recognise that fitting. If you can find a picture of the fitting it may help.

“All too often, drafting machine scales get broken, cracked or lost. Even for old drafting machines, we can modify new scales to fit your drafting head mountings or scale plates”

Allbrit and Draftmaster were brands from W.F. Stanley & Co.

Searching on the intenet archive might find some contemporary catalogues.

              See:

The Draftmaster is an attachment for a drawing board, so searching in those terms (for the board, rather than the attachment) might find some more pictures.

Not relevant to this question, but I found this, which has some interesting mechanisms:

I have some, retrieved from a friend’s house, will get some pictures later on. I think there’s a couple of Allbrit, and some from a different manufacturer.

                    Hi

Sorry for the delay, I’ve put some photos in my gallery (hopefully successful) of what I have. If you are interested, PM me and we can sort out a deal.

For everyone else, here is an example of what the fitting looks like – there are a couple of different makes, but they all appear to be interchangeable.

                      Rob,

They look like they’d fit, would you be willing to sell a couple?

                      Tony.

Happy to sell any or all, one has slight damage (see gallery photos). Selling on behalf of a deceased friend’s wife, PM me to make an offer and we can sort out details. If you want to buy the protractor bits too, that’s ok, but if not I was thinking they could form the basis of some sort of dividing attachment.

                          Rob,

I’m not sure how much to offer! What would you let them go for?

                          Tony.

ps. Not tech savvy enough to know how to PM you..

                              Rob,

I tried to reply to you yesterday, did you get my message? I’ll have the rulers and could possibly pick them up as I work in Blackpool often?

                              Tony.

                                Hi Tony

No, no message from you, but earlier today I replied to your initial message with postage costs. If you are logged in, click on Messages in the middle of the green bar near the top of the page – hopefully it will have (1) next to it indicating you have an unread message to look at.
