img_1617.jpgI have been having a problem with the Y axis jumping about 5mm it was being wound from zero to .625 and as i moved the handle it suddenly jumped to .806 wind back to zero and it would go to the correct zero.If i then wound it very slowly it was ok for two or three days then it got worse and started jumping all over the scale. After finding the original paper work for it 2010 i bit the painful bullet and got a new one which touch wood is working ok at the moment with just the new screen and y travel and the old x and z left on the milling machine.

Out of interest i took the back of the old screen and noticed like a mould or growth along some of the tracks and wondered if this could be the problem.

I would have swapped the scales X for Y on the input plugs first.
