Hello all, saw this on ebay yesterday (in the post!)and took a chance on it and for £15 , seemed worth it. It certainly looks well made and being Swiss, probably is.

So, the question is, has anyone come across one of these before in their travels and are they any good ?. Many thanks.s-l1600-5.jpg

The boring head looks well made but I want to nominate that ground tool bit for the "Frankenstein Tooling" award.

Hello Chris, you are right, one for the scrap bin !. I only bought it to convert for ball turning on the lathe, so didnt want anything fancy.

Looks like a good candidate to make into a spherical turning tool. The Hemingway one I built is basically a boring head on a swiveling shank.
