Looks a nice piece of work! I like the finish on it.
The fact that it has some flexibility will help if anything goes a bit wrong.
My parting tool holder, given to me, many years ago when I bought a secondhand ML7 also has similar flexibility, and is still going strong.
The tool is inverted in a rear toolpost and the blade has no top rake. It works so well that I am now brave enough to part off using the power cross feed!
