Hi, just joined the forum as I have put an offer in on this lathe and I expect there are a lot of owners here and a wealth of knowledge. My normal hobby is car restoration and have on a few occasions had to plead to get use of other peoples lathes.

Not sure if the £500 I have offered (unseen as its a few hours away) will clinch the deal but will hear in a few days, the machine has been unused for 10 years and I have no idea of its condition so expect I will have to do quite a bit of restoration on it first.

Welcome to the forum Jim. I went up there a few times in the '90s when the butcher in the high street had just won a prize for his Haggis so would bring one back each trip. Good luck with the lathe.

Yes, it is an ML7, purchased by the owners father in the 1970s but unused for 10 years.

Well that purchase fell through, so I have gone for this Warco 240 instead. I hope to pick it up on Saturday.
