Hello: As a complete newcomer to the world of Myford Lathes, I am in the process of (very slowly) restoring an early ML7 (circa 1949 if I have correctly interpreted the serial number). Does anyone know whether it is possible to fit a Super 7 saddle and apron assembly to an early ML7 and if so, what modifications are required? Many thanks.

Hi, I have restored a few Myford lathe lathes but never tried this. The bed section are the same as far as I know, but the ML7 has a 5/8" diameter leadsrew and a Super 7's is 3/4" diameter. So you would need a leadsrew as well to see if it all lines up.
