Err 1 indicates keypad operation error. The instruction say that parameters 00-05 & 00-06 must be set to 0 to enable the keypad as frequency source

.Also 13-06 locks the keypad if not 0.

However, I would have expected the factory reset to have set these values.

The factory reset only effects the 02- parameters. silly I know. You wold think that it would reset all of the parameters to the factory default, but not on this one that I could see. I am only going by the manual and what it mentions on the parameter to reset 1250. I am sure it is just a few things that are over looked is the issue. I am not very familiar with the 3 wire remote control that this one is being set at. Mine is the 2 wire control and for me seemed to be the more simple way of doing things, using a 3 way switch in the original control box that came with my lathe from 1972. Centre is open, left hand is closed forward. Righthand is closed reverse. This one uses a push button On S1 , and push button Stop S2 , with forward and reverse being either open or closed for the direction on S3. In amongst it will be a conflict of parameter settings that have been inadvertently over looked and can take quite some time to find the issues.

This is one of the diagrams I used for the remote panel for my Teco510 a while back. All components from Inverter Drive Supermarket. They seem to have now removed this particular pdf.

Pencil refers to my own wiring colours.

So thank you all for your help. I sat down this morning and went through every parameter, top to bottom. I then did a factory reset… on then returning to the 00 parameters, they were wrong, and would not change giving loads of error messages…. Very frustrating. I almost gave up. But I persisted, reset the motor parameters at 02 and on returning then to the 00 parameters was allowed to change them. Lo and behold (its christmas!) the lathe the ran in the right direction. I can control from the remote stop and start buttons, and the fwd/rev switch. The only thing that isnt working yet is

the potentiometer on the remote, but the one on the vfd works for now. I’ll return to that in due course. Thanks to all for your kind help, suggestions and support.

So,for the record the answer to my problems was:

1. factory reset

2. enter motor parameters (correctly) at 02.

3. Only then set the 00 parameters.

doing 00 before 02 doesn't work.

For the remote pot.

00-05 = 2.

Pot goes across 10v and AGND with the wiper to AVI.

The motor IS configured for 220V 3phase ? Star not Delta 415 ? The 1.5A is the FLA for 415V not the no load current for 220V.  Noel.
