Minnie Traction – More Hornplate Questions

I have prepared my Hornplate, but do not want to place it until I am clear on the Placing Measurements.

On page 37 there is a drawing giving the height above the wrapper sheet as being 1 1/8th inches and 5/16th up from the base of the wrapper sheet.

My measurenents are slightly adrift from those quoted. Which is the more important, or do I split the difference between the two. overall I am out by about 1/8th"

The bottom is not really that critical. Better to set the height of the top of the horns so the crankshaft center line will be the correct height above the boiler barrel
