Mike George

I have just heard that Mike George (Mike on here) has passed away after a long illness.

Mike was a contributor to Sporting Gun magazine since its foundation, and I knew of him from that magazine for many years.

Mike was a journalist, an excellent technical writer, a self taught engineer, and a lovely man that I never heard anyone say a bad word about.

I don't know Mike, or even had any dealings with him, but it sounds like a sad loss for all of us using this great forum. RIP Mike.

Mike was indeed a nice person I met him and spoke to him on several occasions via the gun trade, he will be missed by all, sincere condolences to his family.

Just seen this now, terrible news. I used to buy "sporting gun" magazine every month since the mid 1980's. Always enjoyed Mikes practical maintenance and repair articles. RIP Mike.
