          Hi Oil Magnet ,

          hello and welcome

just follow the link halfway down the home page and have a look at the trial copy

          then decide

( my view is coloured by other magazines and books published in PDF format
that I can more easily read )

They have now made it pretty difficult to read and the print quality is awful which is real shame as this would be by far the best way for me to take out a subscription.

              Hi There
Veiwing online of the recent issues is very clear.
The older issues of MEW may not be as good as they are scans rather than PDFs.

The printing qaulity is not as good as I like but it is certainly readable.
Try printing out one of the pages from the sample issue.
The change to the new format was done because the old method took ages to load.
              regards david

Hi, when you have a page that you have zoomed in on, and while still in zoom, you can zoom in further up to about 230% by using a wheeled mouse, just twiddle the wheel forward for zooming in further and twiddle the wheel backwards to zoom out again, you can also zoom in and out using the +/- keys on the number panel. The wheel will also turn the pages when you don’t have them in zoom mode.

                Regards Nick.

                  Hi David,

I disagree dimensions do not print out clearly a lot of the time and you have to write them on the printed copy and I can not read the mag in standard resolution so I have to mess about in zoom mode.
I would of happily renewed my subs to Digital MEW if the print quality  had been better

                    Hi,
Thanks for your input guys. I have tried the sample issue and I agree its not perfect. However I think theres plenty for me to discover in there so I’m going to subscribe. Its a kind of engineering version of going fishing !.

                    Cheers O.M.

One point i would like to raise is that the digital version cannot be read on my iPad, which is a real shame as the iPad would be a great way to consume an online magazine. Cheers
