A now deceased friend built a Metre Maid a few years back, but I dont know what happened to his drawings. I assume that you are plannning to build it. The point of this message is that he had a boiler made professionally by Helen Verrall and he had the design amended to a large flange on the site of the safety valves in the original design. He put a large tubular steam dome on the flange with the safety valves on top and a regulator valve at the back with a pipe leading down to the usual regulator position on this design. He reckoned that he had made a big improvement to the design with a proper steam dome rather than relying on the raised fire-box. Loco works ok, was donated as a club loco to Worthing & DSME. HTH and good luck. Try looking on internet for list of drawing errors – there are error lists for many designs.

I suspect the actual number of people on the forum who have made a Metre Maid is probably very small (compared to, say, Rob Roy), then knock off any who want to keep the plans as a reference/keepsake or whose plans are now in a bit of a state and it may take a while for some to turn up.
