      Hello,

Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place – please let me know and I'll adjust!

I have for sale an excellent example of a Kerry Engineering Super 8 floor standing pillar drill, (Mk1).

Its been fully stripped and rebuilt, cleaned thoroughly and new bearings fitted.

Its in really excellent cosmetic condition. All the gears are intact with no missing teeth, in fact the gears show little to no wear at all.

The famous backgear design is fully functional.

      Two issues to note.

      1. The original MEM Automemota starter appears to be faulty. I've stripped and cleaned it, but switching the drill on, the starter crackles. I think it might be the coil, but I'm not an electrical expert.

      2. The motor mount, by design and due to age, has caused the motor to hang slightly lower than it should. This causes the motor pulley to contact the mounting bracket and make a grinding noise. The original Hoover motor sits fine on the mount without the ratchet strap, I just put it there whilst testing/attempting to fix the starter.

Further info on this drill here **LINK**

I have a bunch of photos from the strip and rebuild process. Happy to attach more on request.

Based in Stalybridge, Manchester. Looking for £300ono. Viewing welcome.

P.s. I'm trying to upload photos, but there doesn't appear to be the option? Advice welcome!

Best to place a for sale add in the classifieds. If you click "classifieds" in the black bar towards the top of the page you will then see "place an add" towards the right.

Thank you guys, appreciate it. I'd post more on here, however I've only just found this site and the only reason I'm selling is due to leaving my workshop. I'm genuine and just trying to find a good new home for it. I don't intend to misuse the site, but will keep looking at the rules – its taking me some time to find my way around.

                Many thanks!

                Chris
