I'm actually really interested. I've posted here before stating I'll be attending a local Community College to start machining. My course is Machine Tool Tech and they'll be teaching me the ins and outs of benchwork and machining, both manual and cnc on Lathe and Mills. I wanted to ask how much would someone make coming out of such a program and jumping into the field. I may be moving to Arizona with a friend because all work here is nearly stopped and they have a lot hiring close to this friend's place. (DOD, Aerospace and planes. Military and defense. Even a shop that freaking produces knives) I essentially want to go with CNC but i want to run multiple machines at once and keep busy. A friend works for a great company where he was supposed to make 18 an hour out of the same school i'm going to but because of cuts thanks to the oilfield only makes 14. So what's the usual wage and any advice will be of course greatly appreciated.
