Crabtree BD15 Starter

Hi

I have a busted Crabtree BD 15 3 ph Starter and would like to know where i can find one, as they are not available here in West Australia If anyone can help i would be greatful

Have a look here, find the one for your motor , then look on gumtree or go to your local motor re-wind shop and ask them. No need for for a Crabtree, other makes would probably fit and would certainly do the job.

Have tried my re-wind guy BUT no help,tried my electrical supplier BUT no help could not even offer an other option

i live in a small town outside of the Capital and it is hard to get what you need at times, and I aint no sparky, that is why I thought Bugger it get the original as the wiring would be easy to follow will keep looking an answer will pop-up i am sure

Hi Brian

You say "busted", do you mean physically damaged or coil or contacts burnt out ?
Is it mounted in an enclosure with stop/start buttons or in a cabinet with remote control ?

As Speedy says probably best to locate a modern unit matched to your motor voltage and current, production of BD15 units finished many years ago although there may still be spare parts available at premium rates.
