      Hi everyone,

for less than £300 u can get a full length Motorcycle Hydraulic lift on wheels (casters on just one end) it's around 2m long and lifts to about 700mm mine 500kgs……

mine is used mainly for motorcycle repairs – engine rebuilds etc also quite handy for loading stuff into the van….

It's just a bit of a lump for the small workshop but it's no so bad to use as a bench…….happy to pass on the importers address…PM me……2/3rds the price of Machine Mart, located in Essex and they do post……

      hope this may help Clogs…..

What a great idea this is, I have a sweet pea just starting on the boiler, my wife and daughter will not enter into dads man cave! (on my own sweet pea far to heavy), so I was looking for a lifting trolley, with it being a 0-4-0 with me altering it like Ron has done, I think it will fit the bill

might make a stand on the back for me to stand on when putting it in the car

there is one on ebay that will lift 300lb's ! £57 just the job

        thanks

        Nigel

Yes the full bike bench works well but so heavy to move and takes so much room.

I have just sold my hydraulic full bike bench as i wanted to be able to push the loco up the drive to load into my car.

Also i found the bench so wide to work on the Loco i had to keep pulling it to one side.

Using the scissor type lift just take's so much less room and so maneuverable with my old bike bench i had to back car to ramp rather than taking the Loco to the car.

That would not have been such a problem except i had to move caravan each time you can get one to lift 300 kg but a 5 inch is no where near that but construction is exactly the same that's why it's so very sturdy and handy
