      John,

However many people sign it, lt's too late now !!

The rules for the referendum of 23-June-2016 were set, and [at least in a civilised country] cannot be changed retrospectively.

I am very sad the UK is leaving the EU and if it is realy happening, I and many others with me, will minimize buying Uk made goods. I will have to pay import duties and buying from a EU based firm I support employment in that part of the EU. Niko.

For the first time in my life I'm ashamed to be English. I'm applying for an Irish passport, to which I seem to be entitled. I fully expect Niel to pull the plug on this, but if any of the blatant liars from the leave camp become PM I will be absolutely disgusted.

It's rather hard to know what will happen Niko. One thing that could easily happen for instance is that GBP devaiues to a point where the tariffs don't matter so much. I can't see UK imports of EU goods dropping off but lots come from elsewhere. Lower GBP though and import costs go up.

As people from a number of countries read these pages this article in part attempts to explain why it has happened.

It is a very extreme example but in many respects typical.

True, but don't forget we now have the masochistic pleasure of watching the Leave Camp deliver on their promises.

It's going to be extraordinarily difficult for them. I get the impression that they didn't actually expect to win and certainly have no plan about what to do next.

I feel that the glow of victory is being replaced by a growing realisation that the risks so casually dismissed during the campaign as exaggerations are actually horribly real. I suspect we've opened Pandora's Box and there's more to come, for example, I think it's only a matter of time before Scotland detaches and becomes an independent nation.

I honestly hope I'm wrong about this turning into a ongoing parade of bad news because we all suffer if the economy is b*gg*red up and we are otherwise bitten by the Law of Unexpected Consequences.

For a bit of light relief here is why we were initially not in the euro.

There were entirely different reasons next time that came up but probably for similar reasons.

The really stupid part of this petition is: it states if either side does not achieve the required level of support, another Referendum should be held.

The most likely outcome of that would have been a constant series of nullified results and, an endless stream of Referendums.

                  IMHO.
