Hi all,

What materials are preferred to use on a copper boiler for the bushes,Gunmetal,SAE660 PB1 Colphos 90 or PB102.

I have seen various suggestions but i wanted your valuable opinions.I believe that Colphos,SAE660 and Gunmetal have small amounts of Zinc in them which i believe are a NO NO ? yet GLR Kennions are quoting SAE as "Ideal for boiler fittings" Very confusing!

Anyway thanks for your input in advance.

I use PB102 for bushes up about 3/4 dia and cast bronze for larger ones PB1. I am on my sixth boiler and never had any problems. They both seem to braze OK.
