By Ben Tubbing. Impulsed parametrically by periodically raising and lowering the bob on two parallel rods using a crank mechanism driven by stepper motors, thus varying the period. Temperature compensation is by applying a computed length offset through the same mechanism based on temperature measurement. Low tempco reported, likely errors that remain probably due to barometric variations. Let’s hope the BHI make it their article of the month and publish it on their website.

By coincidence this morning I saw our church clock had stopped again after I gave it another nudge yesterday after it had managed over a week after I slightly increased the weight. I followed your hint to the BHI article of the month and saw the report on electronically improving a tower clock from manually achieving 5 seconds error. https://bhi.co.uk/hjaotm . I’m pleased when it is only moved 5 minutes off in a week.
