Hi everyone i have got two laths myford ml7 and a boxford with so many tools I haven’t a clue what they do also a milling machine 😳 help me please happy to pay someone to show me i am in kingsteignton Devon thank you

Welcome ! I’m to far away but there may be others nearer who may be able to at least show you the basics of whar’s what. Join a local ME club, there’s one at Exeter and may be others not to far. Good Luck. Noel.

Condition is everything, but the Boxford is likely the better lathe.

I’m not a ‘proper’ machinist and don’t live anywhere near. However, happy to help when I come down to Chulmleigh later this month or early next.

What make/model is the mill? Together, they are likely an ideal combination for lots of jobs/projects/etc.

Hi

Search out Evan Lewis on Youtube for info on the Boxford, he has some good instructional videos on what does what.

I’m too far away, but also have a Boxford and an ML7, but as yet no mill – something has to go first, no room to spare!

You should also look at both lathes’ entries on Lathes.co.uk to identify parts.
