Milling Machine stops?

I don’t have a DRO on my mill so I find stops on the X and Y travel very useful at times. I’m now finding that for on particular job a Z travel stop would be useful on my Warco VMC. Have any of you got or fitted a Z stop on a similar mill? I’ve got a depth stop for the spindle movement but I’m not sure it will help on this occasion due to the order of operations for the part. In any case a dedicated Z stop would I think be useful.
