I have a seated carriage for a model steam train. My father used to drive these and I have a picture with him sat behind what I think is a 5 inch guage loco. I am not sure what it is called? I would like to find it a good home. If it helps I can send some pics. Many thanks

It's what is called a Driving Truck. There are two types, one for raised track and one for ground level track.

Tim,

The ones that are a "flat bed wagon" with a cushion fitted for comfort are called Driving Trucks, Driving Trolleys or Driving Cars.

I think that a model carriage with a seat for the driver on the roof might be called a "model carriage driving truck"?
