I need to attach 8 radiating rods (or “spokes”) to a rotating shaft, so searching for some sort of “hub” with 8 threaded holes which i can attach to the shaft and screw the 8 threaded rods into. I’ve been googling for days but it’s got me nowhere! Does anyone know where i might be able to find such a thing? or what it might be called other than a “hub”?

why can’t you make one?

It is easy to divide a circle by 8 with a protractor.

What diameter hub?
