Hi, yesterday I went up into my attic to rummage through some boxes to see if I could find some rubber feet. However I came across one or two things I had forgotten about, one was a couple of boards being sold off at 99p from Tandy when they were closing down my local store. Thought they may be useful one day, but they are still in their unopened bags.

The other one is a Tungsram valve, which was scrapped by a company I used to work for, for many years and although the box is a bit tatty now, the valve looks quite pristine. This will probably never get used.

Funny what one seems to hoard up.

Didn't find any rubber feet, had to buy some from Maplins today.sad

      Regards Nick.

New componets that you’ve had for years.

Do make sure the valve at least gets given to a museum when you pass on. It could be the only one of its kind left. The boards may still get used – I think I have some similar.
The other day I was looking for something in a similar vein and came upon some arduino and picaxe boards from a few years ago. I got the picaxe when my nephew was using one at school GCSE? and he just got married so must be 10 years ago.

I guess I should add the 40 yr old 10V crankshaft that is the last part left to machine.

Re. the Valve, a rectifier I think

I've a suitcase full of assorted valves, mainly ex-TV, if anyone has a specific requirement, but I don't think I've one of these.

Sadly, I often buy things and when putting them away, I find the last ones I bought…..

I haven't used the dividing plates I bought with my rotary table yet. About 6 years on. I'll make some gears one day!

A week after you bin it, you will find a desperate need for it!

Remember our motto, "It'll come in handy one day"

Have just bought a new shredder. Ought to throw out the old one, but will probably end up cutting a replacement for the gear this now lacks two teeth. WHY? The challenge of getting it working again. (Probably moving the weak point further along!)
