Warco Mini Lathe Emergency stop / Direction control not resetting?

Hi guys first time posting here!

So I have a Warco Mini Lathe and I've been using it since about February, however a problem seems to have cropped up.

When the emergency stop button is pressed or the direction control is switch the spindle should stop and you would have to set the speed to 0 for it to work again.

However this isn't the case anymore. If I press the emergency stop button (Without it locking down) it'll immediately start up again.

I've had a look inside the control box and nothing seems amiss, i.e all the solder joints look fine etc.

Is there anything else I can test to hunt down the problem?

If it's still within Warranty, call Warco.

Otherwise, it may be a sticky relay.

Hello Chris,

Try giving the stop button a pull. I found that the stop button mechanics had loosened so that the switch located in the bottom portion of the switch assembly had moved so that it did not work correctly.
