I'd like to say it was for a model loco, but it's actually my central heating boiler. The switch which detects that the domestic hot water tap has been switched on is playing up, (or I think that's the problem). I've taken it off and put it back on, and the issue seems to have gone away, but it was intermittent before. I'd like to be able to monitor what's going on in situ, so I want a bit of wire with male/female connectors like the one in the photo so I can have a test point part way along. Anyone know what I should search for? as usual I have loads of connectors which look very like it but don't fit.

If I cant find anything I'll just cut the wire and insert something, but I'm trying to be less brutal to start withboiler connector.jpg

          Hi Duncan

When I had a similar issue it turned out the rotor which detects the flow had fallen off. Maybe something to bear in mind if the switch itself turns out to be OK.

            Hi Duncan

Try looking on R.S. components for mate&lock. If it helps you can get the pins out we used the special tool but a simple thin wall tube turned up on the lathe works well it should be a good fit on the pin to close the barbs in then pull on the wire.
