I’ve just been reading quite a lot of material about Regent Street Polytechnic on the web .

Must have been quite a place a hundred or more years ago and very advanced in quality of technical teaching by the standards of the day .

A surprisingly large number of early contributers to Model Engineer seem to have studied there according to their own accounts .

It’s still very much alive but very different now .

Do any members have first hand knowledge of going there themselves or know any of the well known names in model engineering who did ??
