Is that a fairground Ferris WheeL or a Ferris WheeL clock?

you may get some inspiration from looking at meccano models of ferris wheels – there are big ones and little ones, some with plans and some just photos/videos – but fundamentally they are pretty simple.

                Welcome Tom,

Do you have a full-size example that you'd like to copy, or an idea of the size you want to build?

HI Tom, I think redesigning it so it's all flat plates that can be held together with adhesive would be one way to go. That way you only need 2D cutting.

As its such a styalized ferris wheel I think you will be better off drawing out your own with CAD that way you can check that the trays won't hit each other as it revolves.

If you have a sheet metal option on your Cad the trays could be folded from a flat sheet

Also what happens when someone takes a big hand full of the ones thay like and the tray gets lighter as then the opposite heavy tray will always drop to teh bottom?
