I was wondering if there are any Unimat SL users on the Forum.

I am making a tailstock support for my Proxxon/Emco Dividing Attachment set-up.

I was hoping to use the same size centre mounting diameter at the Unimat SL, which I think was 7mm or slightly over.

Can someone confirm this size for me?

      Regards

      Gray,

          Hi Gray,

Mine is 7.15mm measured with a cheap digital caliper.

I've just measured my dead centre using a M&W micrometer and got a reading of 7.18 mm.dia. The shank on my revolving centre measured 7.19 mm. HTH.

282.6 thou on my Imperial mike… which is 7.18mm. Mine are a pretty easy sliding fit inside the head/tailstock bores.

Just tested mine, they tally with everyone else's measurements.

I have 2 unused dead centres, the shanks are 7.185mm and the shank on a as new revolving centre 7.190mm. Measured with a M&W micrometer which I know is very accurate. 🙂

Thank you all for responding to my request, I had the figure of 7.2 mm stuck in my mind, but it always pays to check.

                  Regards

                  Gray,
