Hello all, just been cleaning my big box of lathe bits. I have a Boxford lathe and came across this. Can anyone tell me what it is?1492454624460874149501.jpg

There are no threads in the middle so I ruled out a chuck plate unless there is some forms of bolt on method. All this is new to me. I was just working through the box of bits that came with it. I don't even know if it is for a lathe.

Catch plate? Is that the large round plate with the pin on the outer edge? This is only around 60mm diameter.

If anyone can help. Think this should be in workshop and tooling Section? Tried to change it but can not find any options to do so.

Blade flange for a woodworking saw? What is the bore size?

Not sure on the blade flange, it's got 2 holes and a nipple. Can not see how it would hold a blade. It not my leg, it's the 10,000 tons of steel stuck in the fabric of the pants. Lol20170417_211011.jpg

The reason I said blade flange is that some blades use drive pins to stop the blade from tightening and to stop them from spinning off during braking. I see a few of them that have a range of holes to work with different blade pin holes(it's easier to drill a flange than to drill a hole in a blade)

I do understand what your saying and have not ruled out your idea.

The center hole diameter is 11/16 or 17.6mm.
