SX2.7 USB power outlet?

hi,

 

does anyone know what the USB plug is for on the back of the 2.7’s controller box? Doesn’t seem covered in my manual what it can supply…

If you ask Google, his mate Al says it’s a source of power for external devices such as a lamp or tablet.  No data connection, in or out.

Yep just saves you filling up a wall socket with another wall wart.

thinking it’ll be best served for a lamp/light then.
like you say, saves a plug, when you have the mill, DRO, power feed that’s 3 plugs taken up already
