‘swivel connector’ for syphon tube

I need to get (what I call) a swivel connector with which to attach the pressure gauge syphon tube flush to the side of a vertical boiler. Making my own ¼" ME unit seems to be rather fiddly and I am surprised that these sort of connectors are not listed anywhere that I can find. They were standard on car fuel pipe systems not so long ago.

Does anyone know of a source?

I think you mean a banjo Union used extensively in air systems, have a look at SMC or Norgren Website.  Or hydraulic systems,,

A banjo is quite easy to make, there is one lurking under the tender on the Minnie in my avitar that takes two 1/8" pipes. If you solder the pipe into the ring of the banjo its a simple turning job and just needs a "hollow" bolt to fix it to the boiler bush.

Though I would have thought that the gauge could be fitted with a standard elbow and depending on where the unions on the syphon were tightened up could be got close to the boiler.

BANJO union – of course – I sat for 10 minutes trying to remember the damn name!!

Ensure that the sealing washers, presumed to be copper, are well annealed. Banjo connections are a ready source of leaks, having four places needing to be sealed on every one!

It is taken as read that the other faces (Banjo bolt and the item fed ) are blemish free and flat.
